About

HuntWolves.com is a site dedicated to everything about hunting wolves in the western United States. HuntWolves.com strives to provide up to date information on the status of laws and hunting regulations for the gray wolf. We acknowledge that there are a lot of groups out there that don’t want any hunting season what so ever, but we recognize that hunting seasons are necessary and inevitable. Due to that fact, we will provide as much information as possible for the hunters, guides, and anyone that is curious about what it takes to hunt wolves. We encourage you to register on the site so that you can leave comments, and partake in discussions with other members. Love the idea, or hate it, we thank you for visiting our site. I am a hunter, but I am turned off by the reaction of these so-called "outdoorsmen" to the wolf hunt here in Idaho. I've found that the wolf hunt is fueled by anger, ignorance, and hatred. The wolf hunt is emotional, not rooted in subsistence I have hunted for 35+ years (elk, deer, turkey, upland game birds), but for food, not sport. I do condone spport hunting, too a certain degree, but the wolf hunt far exceeds that of other popular sport hunt game (mountain lion and exotic species, for example javelina, etc.) in terms of hatred. It's not healthy. This is unfortunate, but I have noticed the folks I know persoanlly who got wolf tags are the least formally educated of my acquaintances, without exception. This hate of wolves reminds me of human bigotry and racism-plain and simple ignorance.

A couple words for the wolf hunters who seem to be so full of glory and self worth. Look at where you came from, what you are made of. Question yourself. Look at the way people have lived all over the world with hunting. The natives kill for food not for fun. You are nothing but what the papers say you are...... redneck , pieces of trash that need to be controlled yourself! Manage people , not wildlife!

Having to ask such a question shows that you don't have any grasp of understanding of this issue. Ignorance accomplishes nothing. Take some time to look into it deeper than the radical websites.

Why do you guys even want to hunt wolves??? I just don't get it. Though there might be a certain number of wolves that can be killed, the fact that it's even legal to hunt wolves is just going to make it easier for people to hunt them illegally. Instead of hunting the wolves, why can't they just be relocated to states like Colorado that need wolves to control their elk population? Go do something in your life to make the world a better place instead of killing wolves.
